The Team


Maria Gindidis  BA Dip Ed M.Ed St
Director of LOTE KIDZ and passionate about the teaching of LOTEs, Languages other than English to all children.
With over 27 years experience in all sectors of education and a Masters degree in Bilingual Education Maria is currently also completing her PhD on Bilingual and Heritage languages teaching in Australia.
Maria is well known for her work training over 600 teachers of over 30 different languages at Monash University. Since 1995 Maria has developed LOTE teacher training programs for community languages teachers and recently wrote the LOTE Methodology course for trainee teachers at Deakin University


Angie Kalkanis Diploma of Childrens Services ( Swinburne) Bachelor of Early Childhood ( Deakin University)
Angie has worked in different childcare centres both in Australia and Greece before completing her degree in Early Childhood and working in China teaching English to very young learners. Angie is currently Coordinator of ELA (Early Learning Area) of the Protypo Greek Centre based in Oakleigh. She has held this position for 10 years developing cutting edge programs for 3 year olds, 4 year olds and Prep children learning Greek as a second language


Anna Kouloubos  BA Science and HR Deakin University
Anna has a double degree in Science and HR but found her passion teaching preschoolers Greek at Protypo Greek Centre. Anna developed the first music and body and movement intercultural awareness programs for children 3 years old to Prep. Using puppets, a varied repertoire of classical and modern Greek music, role play, dramatizations and karaoke, Anna is the Performing Arts teacher and coordinator for over 133 preschoolers at Protypo Greek Centre in Oakleigh.
